Careers Workshop

Afternoon,

Anybody who was at the Group workshop with Dr. Phil yesterday will know that there is going to be a careers workshop organized for the class in November. Having done it last year its a worth while day and good templates are given out for cover letters and c.v's as well as valuable advice

The brief for the workshop is as follows:

A careers day TAILORED for MSc. Strategic Management

• Unsure of your options after finishing your studies?
• Need some job hunting tips?
• Want guidelines on how to put together a winning CV?
• Need to brush up on your interview skills?

Don’t leave career decisions until the last minute!

On the day you will…

• Learn about influences on career decisions, how to undertake
occupational research and find out about different career sectors that
might
suit you.

• Discover what options are open graduates of your course

• Understand the importance of proactive job searching, networking
and
other productive ways of sourcing opportunities.

• Learn how to create a winning CV and Cover letter

• Get Interview tips and techniques including latest feedback from
employers

The careers day can either be two half days or one full day so if people could let me know what Wednesday in November suits them and whether they want a full day or two half days by email by Tuesday October 13th.
